The varied circular route runs over the ridges on the southern edge of the Harz, past unique viewpoints.

From Bleicherode, you first ride on cycle paths, lightly trafficked roads, and gravel paths to Limlingerode, where you can refresh yourself in the rural coffee rooms. In the area of the former border, you continue to Walkenried. There you can visit the Walkenried Monastery. From Ellrich, the route leads along the southern edge of the Harz to Nordhausen and then past the Möwensee. In Heringen, a visit to the castle is worthwhile, and in Hamma, you can refresh yourself in the "Kaffeemühle". From Auleben, you start the ascent to Windleite, where you will be rewarded with a great view at the top. To Sondershausen, you ride downhill for a long time and then uphill again into the Hainleite (detour to Frauenberg). Further on, you pass the Affenwald Straußberg, the Teichtal Hainrode, and uphill again to Lohra Castle. Starting from Helbetal, you ride through the half-timbered town of Friedrichsrode. A longer descent takes you into the Wippertal, and then the last ascent brings you to a beautiful viewpoint.
