Highlights along the way
For its 10th anniversary, the Harzer-Hexen-Stieg received something lasting. Since the end of 2014, a total of 12 artistic installations, the so-called Experience Islands, have been created along the path.
Each island focuses on specific features and themes along the route, which are interpreted in an artistic way. Many of these topics are not immediately visible to the eye but are brought to light by the installations.
Cleverly placed frames create a “red thread” running through all the scenes and are meant to inspire hikers to create their own personal photo album of the Harzer-Hexen-Stieg.
